have you been looking into JH's amp JH3A, i think they are designed for these jh16's and would fit great. Well, i've never heard them, but regarding to all the review, they do great. 

I was in the same position as you are. I went to over-ears. Well, not quiet, but over-ears does perform better.

I did some research, that es5 would give me the warmest sound out all of them but relatively bass-light. But still wondering is the mid would be too aggressive. Also, while you are talking about JH I think I can break the budget limit a little, can you give me some suggestions on JH? I'm not a...

I personally like westone over shure due to the more natural sound that they make. BUT, shure does removable cable vs W4R cost most to get on W4.
