ATH-M50 vs ATH-M50S LE impressions
After having read through this thread, I'm still torn. Please give me a one word response...Should I get the LE's over the standards? Yes or no. (Sorry to be blunt, but I'm just so confused as to which pair to get!)- RcasMavs

Looking for some 'starter' audiophile headphones
I don't even own the ATH-M50 (yet) but that's what I think you should go with. They seem to be the best set you can get for the price. Plus, they're also under $150. I know you'd probably rather spend closer to $100, but what's an extra $30 gonna do when you're paying for a quality item? It's...- RcasMavs

Looking for some 'starter' audiophile headphones
I'm also a newbie, but from what I've seen on the forums, I bet you'll get a lot of recommendations for the Audio Technica ATH M50. Once I grew up and got past the Bose phase, my first pair of quality headphones were in fact the Sennheiser HD598s. I love them to death, they sound wonderful and...- RcasMavs

Grado Fan Club!
Hey all, new to the Grado Fan Club here. Don't own a pair yet, but I'm banking on getting a pair of the 225i's very soon. But my question is this: does anyone know of a website or a place where I can bargain for prices? For example, I'm looking to get three pairs of the 60i's for Christmas...- RcasMavs

Headphones for the gym
I'll order those right now if they're that good. Does anyone have any experience with the two phones I mentioned in the original post?- RcasMavs

Headphones for the gym
The 200's are only around 15 dollars on Amazon. Would it be a safer idea to go with the 350's for around 40?- RcasMavs

Thanks for the link, but it actually didn't work. I'll check out those two headphones, though.- RcasMavs

Headphones for the gym
I'm sorry if there was a thread on this. I searched and couldn't find a recent one. If I missed it, feel free to delete this one and direct me to that thread. Thanks. Anyway, I've always just used the iPhone earbuds at the gym. It's time to grow up. There are two lines I'm looking at right...- RcasMavs

Audiophile in training. Help?
Possibly. How would I go about checking that? I just downloaded another album (the new McCartney rerelease of Ram) and it's upwards of 100MB a file.- RcasMavs

Audiophile in training. Help?
Bump. Here's an update. I've been using XLD and it seems to work beautifully. Very simple. However, I have a question. I have downloaded a torrent of Ok Computer by Radiohead in FLAC. I have also ripped the same CD onto my hard drive using Apple Lossless Encoder in iTunes. So I put...- RcasMavs

Audiophile in training. Help?
Quote: Awesome. And I promise, this will be the last question (for now), although it may be the stupidest. How do I make sure that the input information is the same as the output in iTunes?- RcasMavs

Audiophile in training. Help?
Quote: If I can't figure it out here (sorry again for the amateur questioning and the wrong thread placement), I'll move it on over. But, I wouldn't mind using ALAC. I have two programs on my Mac at this point, Max and Fluke. I have grabbed a couple of FLAC albums online and just...- RcasMavs
