Review by 'Rain100' on item 'Swan M10'
I can't recommend these speakers enough. I had some friends (non-audio oriented people) over to check out my computer setup. They were impressed with the whole thing, but especially the speakers (look and SQ). Then I told them that they were $130. Lets just say that swan might be getting...- Rain100

Rate The Last Movie You Watched
moon 8/10 this movie, more than any other I've seen, depends on the performance of one person, and Sam Rockwell does an amazing job. Great score too!- Rain100

Denon (M)D5000's with Foobar Convolver...
I'm guessing a convolver is like an equalizer? I use VST and Electri-q (like the equalizing headphones thread suggests) and have a -7.4 dB valley at 6400 HZ and a -5.0 dB valley at 12000 HZ, and that smooths the treble out (for me at least) Enjoy the 'phones!- Rain100

Your thoughts on "new" but previously worn cans...
I actually bought Shure 750dj's from an ebay seller, then returned them. If they were mine, they were well taken care of and burnt in for over 100 hours.- Rain100

$250 To Spend....HELP!
The Pico dac/amp would be out of your price range (even used). I would go for the iBasso D2+. It has good performance for iem's, and with 38 hours battery life, it's a better choice than the D4 (~9 hours).- Rain100

looking to spend $200 dollars on amp for grados
One to look at would be the iBasso T3 and use it with their LOD Skylab Review http://www.head-fi.org/forums/6293868-post2565.html With the LOD and shipping ($22) it would still be shy of your $200 mark.- Rain100

Best sound quality on headphones $100 to $400

iBasso D42 "Mamba" with dual dacs! !! Hey Hey! Improved Starting on Page 76 .
My amp isn't clipping, clipping would be in the dac (I think?). Anyways, when I turn the 9v on with the stock buffers, it works for about 20-30 seconds, then starts going to nothing, then full volume and back about once per second. Putting in the bypass buffers fixed this, but I like the...- Rain100

iBasso D42 "Mamba" with dual dacs! !! Hey Hey! Improved Starting on Page 76 .
I'm having a bit of trouble with my new D4. When I power the amp with 9v power and the original buffers, It starts to oscillate after about 20 seconds. USB and the original buffers works fine. I got the bypass buffers (Hiflight), and they work fine with 9v power. I was wondering if there...- Rain100

AH-D5000+Compass+Dvd-A, how close am I to hi-fi?
I just did the Markl mods on my D5000 last night, and the differences are amazing! If you don't want to do the entire thing, at least try the 3 steps at the bottom of the first post. http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f4/how...0-mods-299627/- Rain100

WTB: Closed headphone ($200, low impedance, bassy)
This is just from what I remember, I had the 840s, then returned them to the seller, because of the power hungriness. The two have similar sound signatures, but the dj's have more bass and less treble.- Rain100

WTB: Closed headphone ($200, low impedance, bassy)
Shure SRH-750dj, just got mine yesterday, and they absolutely fit your description perfectly. They are bassy (maybe too much for my tastes, but burn-in will tell), incredibly punchy, even from a sansa clip. The soundstage is pretty good, comparable to SRH840s For $150, these are very good...- Rain100
