Best songs for working out?
Any good recommendations? I'm building a playlist for my workouts. I listen to hard rock/metal and classic rock with an edge. I'm looking for the type of music that you want to listen to when you're trying to max out reps, run as fast as you can and sweat buckets - not really for long bike rides... -
Sent KSC-35 for warranty repair, got KSC-75s back
It never hurts to ask, but my gut tells me you're probably SOL. They probably threw out your KSC 35 already and they have the disclaimer to cover them. If you really want to make a big deal out of this, you can point out that they have the KSC 35 on their site and demand that your headphone...- radrd

Cans for rock music - Budget: 450USD
Not sure about availability in Rome, but I'd save some money and go with the Beyer DT150. Best rock headphone I've ever heard, better than the Beyer DT770 and Grado HF-1. Haven't heard the HF-2.- radrd

What is near perfect but won't break the bank?
Be careful what "live music" you are comparing headphones too. I've been to plenty of live shows where the sound quality was fair at best. As far a good overall experience at a good price, I love the Beyer DT150 (available at bhphoto), but that's for enjoyment. I don't really look for...- radrd

Measurable frequency response?
Are there any components/cables that cause a measurable, consistent change in the frequency response of a speaker/headphone? For example, will switching to a tube amp from solid state make some of the frequencies less/more pronounced? I can't remember ever seeing a frequency response graph...- radrd

Inexpensive ipod bud replacement?
My girlfriend's ipod headphones broke and I'd like to buy some better replacements for her. Any suggestions? She would prefer earbud style, not IEM or over-the-ear because she wears them at work so can't be isolated and doesn't want it to be very obvious that she is wearing headphones. She...- radrd

Loving NIN Ghosts - more like this for me?
Thanks all for the suggestions. I'll check them out. I'm surprised there aren't more. -
Loving NIN Ghosts - more like this for me?
So I bought Nine Inch Nails new instrumental album Ghosts and have been seriously enjoying it - perfect background music at work. No distracting lyrics, but it's interesting enough to alleviate boredom and keep me focussed. I'm sure NIN will release a follow up in the next year or two, but... -

MFA English Creative Writing graduate programs
Quote: I know I can't afford to go to MFA school on Barnes & Noble hourly pay, but I also know that I can't afford high end audio, yet here I still am. I have to be honest: this is far more consequential and important to me than music or audio. Right now, I can afford the application fees...- radrd

Hiking boots for small feet...
I went to REI and wanted to buy their most expensive hiking boot. The person helping me advised against the top model because he didn't feel that it would fit my foot correctly. He had me try on a lower-priced model and I've been enjoying them for three years. If you have an REI nearby, I...- radrd
