Need help. Can no longer transfer files to AGPTek A20s via PC.

I purchased an AGPTek A20s MP3 player about 4-5 months ago. Recently I noticed that I get a USB device not recognized malfunction error when I try to connect it to a PC for transfering files. So I can no longer access the storage space on the mp3 player. It will still charge through a PC. I...

Great thread! I was wondering what thickness of acoustic foam did you use for the 8323 headphones? Is it 1/2"? Thanks, Rabbit

xDuoo X2 - small lossless player with microSD and OLED!

Ugh.    Unfortunately, it was a gift and I am can't seem to find the warranty document or packaging. I also stripped a screw when putting the back cover back on after looking inside. So it will likely become a paperweight unless I get ambitious about trying to fix it.   thanks.....

xDuoo X2 - small lossless player with microSD and OLED!

Hi,   I got an xDuoo X2 for christmas.  It was working great with only the occasional slight glitch, ie song not playing...   Today I was using my xDuoo X2 and it suddenly stopped in middle of a song. I recall may 15min earlier looking at the screen and it had about half its full charge...

Need advice on specific addition to my make-shift stereo system.

I am trying to put together a very budget stereo system. I got my old Akai TT running properly and attached it to a cheap Lepai 2020A amp connected to some used (probably 80's) 25W speakers.   I am looking for a very cheap MP3 player that I can attach to my amp using either the 3.5mm input or...

Anyone heard of Riorand? Or purchase any of their amps?

Mystery solved. I ordered from Riorand an amp identical to the Lepai model 2020A but that did not have the Lepai name on it in the product picture. They sent me a Lepai branded 2020A amp.   So Riorand amps are Lepai amps regardless of branding.

Anyone heard of Riorand? Or purchase any of their amps?

I noticed on amazon and ebay, there are a T-amps sold under the brand Riorand that look a lot like Lepai (Lepy?) models. ie The LP-2020A amps.     Has anyone purchased one of them and can verify whether they are of similar quaility.   I can't find any reviews of their products.   They do...

Want to find cheap alternative for using my computer as an amp.

Hi Guys,   Turns out I goofed.   I had plugged the cable from the pre-amp into the speaker 3.5mm jack labelled "mic". I assumed this would work but did not. There is another 3.5mm jack labelled "cd-rom" is which is apparently the right jack to use and now works. Why it is labelled "cd-rom"...

Want to find cheap alternative for using my computer as an amp.

Hi ProtegeManiac,   Thanks for your response.   Currently I am using an RCA to 3.5mm cable to connect my pre-amp to the "in line" 3.5mm computer jack. The computer speakers are connected via the computer's. 3.5mm headphones jack. It does properly function this way.   The speakers I tried...

Want to find cheap alternative for using my computer as an amp.

Hi,   Not sure I'm posting in the right forum or site, but I have a question.   I currently have my record player hooked-up going through a pre-amp then to a computer to a pair of computer speakers.   Is there any way to go directly from my pre-amp into a pair of computer speakers...

The NEW JVC HA-S400. Affordable Carbon Nanotube cans for the masses.

Just curious how bad is the sound leakage (people hearing what I hear) on the JVC S400s? I mean assuming I keep it at at medium level volume?

Need help finding pair of on-the-go headphones under $55

Actually went ahead and purchased the cheaper JVC HA-S400 model. (Yes I know the material is not as good, but it looks like a good starter)   This is a really embarrassing noob question. What is burn in and how does it work? Does playing sound through the headphones actually improve sound...

Need help finding pair of on-the-go headphones under $55

Thanks for all the responses.   All of the suggestions look good.   The ATH M30 is nice but probably a little bigger than one I am looking for. The AKG K518 are also but I want to try for something just a big bigger.   The Gemini's would be the best choice but too expensive. In Canada...

Need help finding pair of on-the-go headphones under $55

I'm looking for a new pair of headphones. Ones that are good for either walking around with, being on the subway/bus etc. So they should not be to huge heavy or uncomfortable. They do not need to be noise cancelling headphones, but should be able to prevent noise leakage at mid-range volumes...
