    Philips Fidelio X2?!

The price of X2 makes them really easy to recommend. There is little that can really compare with the X2 at its current going price that can really compare with it, and I can think of only the HD6XX being as good a value. This pair of cans isn't even picky when it comes to what amp you run them...

    Philips Fidelio X2?!

That's right. I purchased the dongle since I wanted to use the Xbox controller for PC wirelessly. Bluetooth is meant to be an easier way to connect to PC. I don't recommend using Bluetooth mode though.

    Philips Fidelio X2?!

Microsoft made Xbox one controllers, from the first version to the new white controller. I am talking about the newest controller that supports bluetooth connection.

    Philips Fidelio X2?!

I had the original one which needs the adapter  I had the revision with the 3.5mm jack I have the Elite controller I have the new S controller which also uses the 3.5mm jack.   The new one has the cleanest audio signal of all, and there is a little hiss if you plug an IEM in.  Please use...

    Philips Fidelio X2?!

Nothing special. I use Creative E5 and Fiio's E17.  You can actually plug the thing in to the new Xbox one controller and use that as a dac/amp. The sound's much cleaner than before with the One S wireless controller. In fact, there's no hiss where the Elite controller does hiss.

    Philips Fidelio X2?!

I got a question about the X00. When you compare it with the X2, can the X00 match the soundstage of the X2? It is a closed set after all. Many people have commented on how accurate the sound is and how that they can stand shoulder to shoulder against the big boys, but what I don't know is...

    Philips Fidelio X2?!

I have both. M-100 is more forward and the bass slams harder. I don't think you gain or lose in terms of resolution bass wise.   Edit: Listening to the two right now. M-100 is no slouch, but you lose this sense of airiness that you have with the X2 in exchange for a very expensive bass...

    Introducing the Immersive PC 373D

Doesn't really depend? Virtual surround sound implementation is a completely different beast to sticking a bunch of drivers and expect headphones to work as they are nearfield speakers in 5.1 arrangement, when the likes of balanced armature crossover can only give you a stereo rendering. ...

    Introducing the Immersive PC 373D

Yep. I totally agree. The only caveat to this is that headphones that stuff a bunch of drivers and market themselves as 7.1 solution are all dismal failures.  (Read your guide btw)

Creative Sound blaster E5 - Headphone amp + USB DAC with OTG + Toslink + aptX + recording + more.

There is no substitute to X7 if you want a nearfield 5.1 speaker dac, 2.1 receiver and a headphone dac/amp all at once. It's a one-stop shop solution that allows you to even postprocess sound effects. I can think of no other device that crams so many functionalities into one box (including even...

    Introducing the Immersive PC 373D

Personally, I like having the option of choosing what sort of virtual surround sound mode I'd want.  Creative's own 7.1 CMSS-3D works very well with IEMs. I tried it with my W4R before. It's not a necessity for open headphones to me.    I do not being locked to a mandatory DAC. It's fine to...

That connector screams USB to me.

    Introducing the Immersive PC 373D

It should. Razer's Kraken and Logitech's G930 can be plugged into the PS4 without issue.  I would like to see an optical connection more than USB to the DAC honestly, but that's not how it looks with the PC 373D.

    Introducing the Immersive PC 373D

I look at this, and I wonder why Sennheiser doesn't go all-out and take their HD650/600/800 and do the same, maybe even outdo this.  I for one, like quite a few others, have considered using HD650s or HD800. Dimitri from Hardware Canucks and Jerry AKA Barnacules sport HD800 with modmic for example.

Creative Sound blaster E5 - Headphone amp + USB DAC with OTG + Toslink + aptX + recording + more.

Micro USB doesn't work all the time. I use my E5 as a portable device, so the Micro USB is used when I plug to laptop. My laptop and PC are getting more and more reluctant to charge and to detect the E5 in this last month.  I do use Bluetooth a lot when I have it paired with my phone, but...
