NEW Ibasso D42 Mamba!
What are the differences between the D42 and the D12, besides the rechargeable battery? Would one be significantly better than the other for driving a pair of Westone 4's?- oshox

Yulong D18 & LD MK VIII SE: Too Much Tubeyness?
I'm getting a Little Dot MK VIII SE and a pair of Beyerdynamic Tesla T1's. While LD is building my amp, I have time to decide on the best DAC. My first notion was the Yulong D18. It has balanced outputs, a great reputation, and a reasonable price tag. My only concern is that reviewers...- oshox

Replacing my Future Sonics Atrio, suggestions?
To my dismay, the left earpiece of my three year-old pair of Atrios stopped working today. I can't tell why, but I'd imagine the wiring has come loose. I've used them for 8 hours a day for the past three years, so I'm not terribly disappointed. I've loved every minute of listening to them. ...- oshox

Seeking Advice for a Home Theater
Although I appreciate the recommendations, I bought the TV about 2 years ago. I'm about 8ft back from the screen, and I can read 12pt text clearly at 1080p. Also, I'm happy I went with LCD versus plasma. I'm looking to replace my M-Audio Studiophile AV 40 pair with a pre/pro, amp, and a set...- oshox

Seeking Advice for a Home Theater
I've gone around and around with Processor/Amp combinations, and have decided on two combinations: Outlaw 990 + Outlaw 7900 Emotiva UMC-1 + NAD-M25 The choice will depend on the power requirements of the speakers I choose. I'm trying to set up demos of: Paradigm Studio 20/60 Bowers and...- oshox

Who are your favorite companies (to deal with)?
I'll second Little Dot. I love my MkIII, and really wish I'd gotten a DAC_! instead of a DACMagic. The guys at Signal Cable were really awesome, too, but unfortunately the 3.5mm termination on my Y-cable is coming apart.- oshox

Seeking Advice for a Home Theater
I was looking at the Bowers and Wilkins 685 Theater (For 7.1, I imagine I would get 4x 685, 1x HTM62, 1x ASW608, and 2x 686) due to their reputation. My home theater is going to be in a large room, but the actual seating area is relatively compact. Loudness is not an issue, so I don't need...- oshox

Seeking Advice for a Home Theater
I'm putting together a 7.1 home theater system, and planning to spend $8k-$10k on a Processor, Amp, Speakers, and Cables. My source will be a PC supporting DTS Neo:PC over optical. I am looking for some advice on specific components. What forum would you all recommend for head-fi-quality advice?- oshox

Opera 10 has landed!
I've been using Opera since version 6 or 7, and it's always been cutting-edge. 10 is very nice. For those of you at an office or who run a lot of apps off a USB drive, try out this portable version: Opera Portable - Opera in USB, CD, LAN, Wherever! / Opera Sekali Klik Tanpa Instal- oshox

Looking for Feedback on Rig Upgrade
That's exactly why I ask! I'm using an Analog2 copper cable for the interconnect, now. I've read so much raving over the iMod, is it really not much nicer than a dock cable? I could skip the ALO Cryo cable and just get the much-cheaper 1/8"-out dock. I was looking at a good desktop DAC...- oshox

Looking for Feedback on Rig Upgrade
I'm currently using a standard 80GB iPod (w/ Rockbox) connected to a Little Dot Mk III and a pair of Beyerdynamic DT-880 2005 Edition 'phones. As a side note, I'd heartily reccomend this to anyone looking for an inexpensive starter rig. My favorite song to show it off is "Over The Hills and Far...- oshox

iMod/IEM Quick Question
In that case, I'll probably just put up the money for an amp and scrap the whole IEM thing. I love my Beyers, they're just a lot to lug around. I'm thinking a Meier-Audio 2Move...- oshox

iMod/IEM Quick Question
I am planning on letting Red Wine upgrade my 5.5g iPod, and I was wondering if I'd get good sound quality by using the mini-out ALO dock, plus a Shure PA235 attenuator and a pair of Future Sonic M8's. I have a nice pair of DT-880's and a Little Dot MK III for home use, and I thought a good...- oshox
