yeah at gdgt. The guy was letting people hold it to see how it felt with it off, but I motioned that I wanted to turn it on and he let me. I didn't see anything to do with the equalizer. It is much smaller in hand than it looks in the press shots. This player seems nearly done.

I have a feeling something is wrong with how the songs loaded onto your device. Maybe you could try deleting the songs on your ipod and use itunes to reload. That should help. If not, you could use the restore function in itunes to bring your ipod back to its original settings.

Encode your music collection carefully into lame mp3 or aac and you should be pleased with the results.

That makes sense that they would make their first heaphones reasonably priced per performance. They do want to win the hearts and minds of people like us headfiers. The more I hear about these, the more I want to buy them.

Does anyone think that the price for the new shure headphones are worth it? Or are these a bit overpriced like shure iems? I'd be willing to buy these if shure is pricing these aggressively, otherwise I'll grab some sennheisers.

I have owned about four ipods. Never had problems with any except a dead battery. I am not reckless and treat them pretty well though. Your mileage may vary.

Yes, 5.5g ipod for the win! This is one of the best ipods for sure. The classic's sq is a bit too harsh and analytical as opposed to the 5g with its warmer sound. I miss my 5.5g
