What headphones can reproduce 20-25Hz with authority?
still burning my 770 / 25-'s in but they have spades of bass... so much so that the cups resonate! I have lined the cups with dynamat and it has tightened things up considerably. Watched cloverfield at the weekend and whilst the impact doesn't hit you in the chest like my svs sub it was most...- needmorstuff

need a second set of cans for movie watching via my av receiver. i can get either of these for roughly the same price - strange as I can get the 2200 for £20 cheaper than the 780.- needmorstuff

lol - here you go. Turned from a single piece of Mahogany. Still need the felt for the inside. Used the original grado "Y" piece for the cable split - cable is 5m of XPC OFC Starquad, jack is neutrik. I think cups are a bit too deep for aesthetics, maybe next time I would make them 1cm...- needmorstuff

cans for watching movies
I have had some grado sr80's - gave them up due to comfort issues (did enojoy the sound) some hd650's - enojoyed them but sold due to money issues now have hd580's - 600 grills, new cable - nice detail but I think something is lacking.. I use the can predominantly for watching movies...- needmorstuff

where to buy stranded silver cable
I have been searching but can't find anywhere that sells stranded silver cable for a headphone recable.. looking at 24awg (roughly) not silver over copper but pure silver.. 99.99% at least. I need to make a 15foot cable so with 4 braided conductors I probably need 70ft.- needmorstuff

my diy HD 580 cable build
next time I would either get some stranded silver wire insulated with ptfe, cover each stranded section with a cotton jacket and braid it... or just go for some cardas 4 x 24- needmorstuff
