My first tube amp was a mere 5 months ago. D: LD MKII, purchased roughly 2 weeks after my 18th birthday. I've since made a considerable step up to my SP MPX3 SLAM toaster.

I would go to the HD580 much quicker than I did, and go tubes much quicker than I did.

About one every three months. I think I'm sticking with the HD580s for a while though, I'm loving them more than I can say.

With a semi-reasonable amp, HD580, without hesitation.

"Shevanal, Take 2" by Between the Buried and Me. I've never heard a better-sounding acoustic guitar. Also, the snare drums in "The New Black" by Every Time I Die. I love the impact and snappiness.

Gotta back up the HD580. $150 for sound like this is incredible.

Changed my equipment, my LD is being sold, and I've got a toaster-style MPX3 SLAM coming in. (Aura's, actually. )

I just agreed to purchase Aura's MPX3 Slam toaster. I really cannot wait to get my hands on it.
