Official Hong Kong Thread (Shops, Meets, Events and more-)

Just wanted to post this and share just in case anyone is searching for an iPod LOD or Line Out Cable/Converter. I located quite a few at Mingo Headphones in Mong Kok (Sim City) this afternoon. Prices ranged but the one I got was $105HKD. "AW Audio Line Out iPhone White" was the name of it.  ...

    Audio-Technica Ath-M50 vs. V-MODA Crossfade LP

I've owned both cans. The sound signature and/or quality is not at all similar between the two. Do yourself a favor and test both first. IF you still can't make up your mind at that point buy whichever one is cheapest at the time. If you want my opinion the M50 is a much much better sounding...

    Audio Technica ATH-AD900x Impressions Thread

Went to the shoppes yesterday with the intention of walking out with either a pair of Philips Fidelio X1 or AKG K701s. This was based on reviews I've read vs my personal tastes. Tested both. Very long story short, came home with an AD900x instead. At this price, and comfort level they wow'd me...

Official Hong Kong Thread (Shops, Meets, Events and more-)

Hi Hong Kongers,   I'm Tim, a U.S. Expat new to Hong Kong. Just found this thread by searching for 'Mingo'. I visited their Wan Chai location recently and was looking to see if anyone had discussed any of their other locations.  Primarily wanted to say hello! :)

    M-Audio Studiophile Q40 - Review, and Appreciation

I'm letting my Q40s go to a new home. Time to try something different. So if you've been on the fence and stalking this thread, follow the link    http://www.head-fi.org/t/651076/m-audio-studiophile-q40-w-bonus

    M-Audio Studiophile Q40 - Review, and Appreciation

I wouldn't. The isolation isn't great and the ear cups don't swivel. These are strictly monitor type phones, so I don't think a DJ would be pleased with them. I do have experience with the Audio Technica M50s and I'd recommend them highly for DJs.

    M-Audio Studiophile Q40 - Review, and Appreciation

I've found that removing (or not installing) the ear baffles that come with the pads helped clear up some of the woolyness sp? Also the leather better dynamic pads, to my ears, make them a bit less airy, boomy maybe, and more accurate. Velour feels better however, much better lol Cheers Sent...

    M-Audio Q40 Replacement Cable

Most will. Has to be pretty narrow mind you. See the above references for a greater explanation of that. Most "iPhone" approved cables should work since they are made with squeezing past a bulky case in mind. Cheers Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

V-Moda Crossfade... Did I get a bad pair?

Your hearing is fine. Get another pair of headphones or get used to EQing them. (Former Crossfade LP owner). Other than fashion and 'perceived' build quality they are inferior to most other phones in their price range. Especially sonically. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
