Mine is also dead quiet, I would check earthing firs,t this is nearly always associated with hum problems, initially I would remove the earth connection to the headphone amp and check if its better or has no effect

I have both musiland 02 and pro900 headphones, although the combination will work, I believe it is best to use a proper headphone amplifier to drive the pro900 headphones and use the musiland to output the signal source to the amplifier, I personally use a Little Dot V11 amplifier with good results
