Creative Sound Blaster new series Z, Zx & ZxR
Quote: I have no way of scientifically measuring the difference so I cant exactly say "how much" it is just slightly less crisp sound. I compared the sound with the volume knob at max and having it on 25% volume in windows.- melterx12

Creative Sound Blaster new series Z, Zx & ZxR
So after owning the Sound Blaster Z for about a month I decided to upgrade to the ZxR, and just got it today - here are my impressions: - Overall Audio Improvement over Sound Blaster Z is minor, but definitely noticable on my ATH-M50S headphones. - When connected to the headphone...- melterx12

Sony MDR-1RBT Impressions?
Just got my 1RBTs yesterday ($248 shipped!). These are a great pair of headphones. Bluetooth audio, while definitely not as good as wire headphones, is still very good and detailed (I have tried Creative and Beats Wireless bluetooth headphones for comparison and these blow those out of the...- melterx12

Quote: yeah, but using line out would it be better to use stereo or stereo direct? I assumed that stereo direct bypasses all the sound processing, but in the end is that good or bad?- melterx12

EDIT: I tried playing music while turning full range setting on and off and do not notice any difference whatsoever, so I do not think it is that.- melterx12

What I'm saying is to me music sounds a little clearer or better and has more definition through my headphones when connected to the line out versus headphone jack (a little, but noticeably so). It is hard to explain since i am not an audiophile. If anyone else can test this with their...- melterx12

So bottom line would it be better to use the speaker jack or headphone jack (if both jacks are on the sound card itself)?- melterx12

Creative Sound Blaster new series Z, Zx & ZxR
Just got the sound blaster Z. I am using it with a pair of 2.1 speakers and mainly my ATH-M50 headphones. Immediatly after setting up I turned off all the post processing effects (they ruin the music IMO). I however noticed that music sounds a bit more clearer or has more "range" I would say...- melterx12
