Ok, here goes.  Some A-hole stole mine and my daughter book bags out of the minivan today and made off with my daughter's Audio technica M40's and my UE triplefi's...I'll deal with my earphones later ...what I'm looking is some foldable easy to drive headphones that are  probably closed back.  ...

i work at a power plant so my hearing is pretty much crap...at least around the frequency of my wife's voice, so upgrading drivers is not a huge priority,  I am just looking for good sound isolation and comfort...which makes me want to really change out the triplefi's

the tf10's are the ones still under warranty.. will look into fisher and 1964..just hate to spend as much for reshelling as I did the what I paid brand new.

I bought these back when they were still in business but the 10 cent cable is completely **** where it enters the headphone.  What are my options?  Can I have them just recabled and set up for replaceable cables or do I have to go through the whole reshelling process?  My other option is having...

I finally broke my freqshow superfreqs and i can't stand the way my triplefi's fit so I figured I will repair one set and get a custom shell for the triplefi's.  has anyone had any experience getting impressions done in the hudson valley (poughkeepsie area)?

I can't speak for westones um2 or 3but westone 1's are really comfortable and so are the shure (e3c, e2c and the 530's) What I can say is I have medium size canals and the ultimate ears tf10 and the eb5's are nightmares.  Yes they sound good, but you will ALWAYS know when they are in.  

I would get anything but the UE TF10's...sound great but might as well hammer rocksalt into my ears...they broke recently and I have to say I am quite happy.

I'd like to test them but to be honest I am a little sceptical after seeing the price and seeing their subwwofer line.

The left side is starting to turn on and off. What are my options for getting them recabled with something better than the 10 cent garbage that came with them?

lowest I have found in my area (hudson valley) is 75 per ear.. SuperfreQ is sending me their new style impression kit next week. really want to get them soon.
