I have heard ue, shure and westone. Westone's phones produce the least cord noise during normal usage. Thus, though both shure's and westone's are very comfortable, fact reveals that westone's cord is better than a lot of other brands. Therefore, you should have no worries about cord and its noise.

I am thinking to buy a pair of headphones and use it when i go out to streets. I heard that grado's phones can drive with mp3 player well due to its low impedance. Personally I own ultrasone 750, senn 595 and 600. 750 seems too heavy; 595 is 'too open' and it can disturb others around me...

Does any custom 3 user know how to solve the serious noise caused by the friction of the wire during listening (especially I wear glasses)? It's very annoying and inconvenient while I bring it out.

I have PL750 and LD2++ and feel it quite good. The sound becomes much warmer and more crystalized than it is while unamped. However, due to the high clarity of PL750, it usually reveals distortion caused by the amp but it is hardly noticeable. Probably buying a better tube amp or changing...

I just got a new pair of Ultrasone today and my initial impression is that it's totally not musical. However, I really like its accuracy and I now deeply believe that it's good for recording as mentioned in other reviews...So far I don't hate it.
