Sure thing miceblue! One of my friends was like, "shadow and purple!!" but nah matte black will look better. Btw, how did you make such a sick design on your shields? I'm no artist and using that illustrator thing is hard xD

I also have the Ultrasone HFI-780, and it is quite nice.  My only problem with them is that my head is apparently too small. So, I can't take full advantage of the sound because the cups don't cuddle my ears haha xD But, they are VERY clear.  You won't go wrong with these!

So the M-100s can't produce thumping bass without an amp? Not crazy boom boom bass, but like, pronounced bass without muddled mids and whatnot (pertaining to r&b music and movies and immersive gaming).

Have those of you who have the M-100s already try them with laptop usage (no amp or external DAC)? Particularily with games? Not so much shooting games but like RPGs, MMOs, and the like? I know they're good portables, but how do they stack up when being used on laptops (and/or desktops)?

You know what? I don't have any reason in particular why I would need any kind of 5.1/7.1 sound really. I just thought it would sound cool for game stuff, but I never had it so its not necessary. I guess I'll just stick to other DACs then?

Thank you Roller I'm definitely returning the 780s. Not because of the sound, but the fact that it doesn't fit my head well. I thought my head was normal sized, but apparently it's a little small. I think I might extend my broke college girl fund and preorder the v moda m-100 or check out a pair...
