Sennheiser Orpheus HE 90 vs. HE 1 - Impressions of a direct comparison

Thanks for sharing. Your impressions pretty much summarizes my feelings. Overall, the HE90 sounds much more natural IMO. If you have a chance, I would highly recommend you to try it with a T2. This amp sets the HE90 apart from the HE1 even further.

For sale is this pristine ATH-L3000. Included are the original storage box and cardboard box, as well as all the original accessories and papers. This unit is virtually flawless, except for some tiny scratches on the jack (see pictures). Other than that, it is pretty much in factory condition...

Ended up getting the Luxman and after listening more carefully at home, I can attest again that the R10s sound stunning out of it. L3000 also sounds very enjoyable (although I haven't heard these with any other amp). Thank you guys for the recommendations!

Thanks, I was thinking of a total replacement. Did you find any sound enhancement on only reterminating?

Guys, I’m looking for R10 recabling options. I would like to make it flexible (Balanced/SE). Any recommendations?

    HE 90 Earpad Material

They're made of pleather. Unfortunately they will flake sooner or later. Best to make them last as much as possible would be to keep them in a temperature/humidity controlled environment.

Thanks guys, interesting to know that most of the drivers around seem to be #3. I wonder whether they sound the same or if Sony did any revision without changing the number. It's hard to tell especially when foams and ear pads are part of the equation.
