The "body" plastic part of the cushion is in deed printed. A composite of PA's. But not by simple laser sinter processing. It's made by a 500k€ machine where just a few hundred exist worldwide.- hrklg01

Thanks Tom for the fast answer. Yes, The used material for MYSPHERE is really unusual for headphones. It comes from the automotive industry and is used for MB. We tested a lot, but without any chances of damages in all extreme climates. Washing is also simple possible as Tom wrote. 😄- hrklg01

If you just keep the foam inside, fix it on the outer circle by a white glue (same as used for wood, but a water resistant variant. @Yggy Both failures are always the main issues which cause the rubb@buzz of the K1K To repair, the membrane has to be glued with a solvent of 50/50 water/white water resistant glue and to glue new foam out of 80ppm open poreous (reticulated) PU material in 6mm thickness into the iron part. @Yggy According to your very good photos you attached, the two typical failures are still present. 1st membrane gluing + 2nd loose foam. The reason why it improves a but when squeezing it by the grid is ... Just squeezing. But this effect does not last long. It should be repaired as many times...- hrklg01

Those measurments depend very much on the measuring conditions. So if it's measured in a free field and the direction of, or measured in an echoic chamber (as it should be). Additionaly for the K1000 it depend additionally to the angle of the drivers to the ears. The measured curve looks...- hrklg01
