HIBY R6 - DAP Dual DAC Balanced Out - Great Reviews and Over 500% Funded @ Indiegogo!

I'm thinking of buying the HiBy R6 with the HiBy Seeds, primarily due to them being balanced. Any ideas on what they sound like, and if they're worth the extra $80? I'm used to earphones that sound like the EPH-100s from Yamaha. I like balanced sound signature with a hint of bass.

@Joe Bloggs It is very comforting to see that you guys at HiBy care about these threads and pay attention to customer feedback. You went above and beyond by showing a little technical support with a post or two there too! That's an encouraging thing for me in regards to purchasing this DAP...

The headphones that I have can't be equipped with any balanced cables. The headphones I use are HD 380 Pro, EPH-100, and Samsung earphones tuned by AKG.

Okay. Is there any way to use regular headphones (3.5mm TRS) with balanced outputs (2.5mm TRRS)? Yes, I'm a noob!

I think I'm locked onto buying the HiBy R6. Is there any real benefit to buying the stainless steel version versus the aluminum alloy version? Obviously it's more rugged, but are there any other reasons to spend the extra $50? Also, I had linked this earlier and was wondering if it would work...

    Pioneer XDP-300R | Twin DAC ES9018K2M | Balanced Out | Android | MQA | 2x MicroSD | WiFi | AptX

Thank you for enlightening me. I really didn't know what it meant, but I do understand now. If I were to ever use balanced mode, would the following adapter work? https://penonaudio.com/audio-cable/3.5mm-cable/silver-plated-hi-fi-balanced-adapter.html

Hence, why I shouldn't be forced to use 2.5mm balanced versus the regular 3.5mm jack. If there's going to be two DACs in the DAP, then they should work with both outputs. I really don't even know what balanced versus regular output means anyways. Judging by the numbers though, there shouldn't be...

I was talking about using the balanced jack in order to take advantage of both DACs. That's also upsetting though.

If that's the case, I will not consider this DAP or its Onkyo variants. Pretty messed up that they don't mention that anywhere.

I understand. If I were not to purchase the HiBy R6, should I purchase the XDP-300R, DP-X1, or the DP-X1A? Sorry for asking a lot of questions, but I'm new to the DAP world. This would be my first DAP purchase ever. So, it'd be nice to have something worthy of being a smartphone replacement...

"Here you see a 1kHz square wave signal sampled at 192kHz, being put out by a music app on android. On usual Android devices this signal would be resampled and mixed into the fixed 48kHz system audio stream, producing a digital output to the DAC like the upper picture. Whereas on the R6, DTA...

Yes. Hence, both DAPs have these features. The HiBy R6 would do it better I suppose due to it bypassing Android's SRC in most applications. I'm not sure if Pioneer's offering does this though. I'm actually wondering what battery life looks like between the two while using the internet and...
