What headphones do you use for travelling?
I just got a pair of hd25-1ii's and it feels nice knowing I can just throw them in my bag without worrying about them breaking. I thought that the sr225i I had sounded better, but they were just too uncomfortable. The sennheiser's have been on my wishlist for a while now, and I just ended up...- goma14

Do Grados Look Ugly? Or Do They Look Cool?
I like the style of grados. Although, I prefer the look of the black plastic and metallic cups to the woodies. I also bought a pair for a similar reason, so I can hear people at work who are trying to get my attention. I'm thinking I want something a little more mellow though. However, I don't...- goma14

++ FULL-SIZE HEADPHONE RECOMMENDATIONS THREAD++ CLOSED: Please post a thread in the Introductions, Help and Advice forum
Quote: I prefer the hd650 over the sr225i, but I'm not looking for a can that sounds similar to it. I think I'm looking for something that has clarity, but not too harsh sounding. I suppose this is why I was looking at the MS-Pro, because of how it's more neutral than the RS...- goma14

++ FULL-SIZE HEADPHONE RECOMMENDATIONS THREAD++ CLOSED: Please post a thread in the Introductions, Help and Advice forum
So, I'm a long time lurker on head-fi and can't decide what to try next... I'm looking to have a headphone mainly for use at work, but I would bring these to school and everywhere else as well. I have a hd650 for use at home. I want these to be transportable and would really like them to be open...- goma14

sr225i R Clip Defect?
I bought them new on amazon. I added a beyer headband pad over the Grado's as soon as they came in. That's good. I'm not too concerned with the way they look. I'm even using yellow pads on them at the moment. Although, I am considering dying them black. :P- goma14

sr225i R Clip Defect?
I bought a pair of sr225i's almost 4 weeks ago (I'm glad I gave them a try--love their sound,) and noticed that either the R clip piece was chipped or has a gap in the seal, but didn't pay much attention to it. I didn't think it was too big of a deal for the hassle of getting it exchanged--not...- goma14

HD650 - Would the amp in Xonar STX be enough? (beginner)
If you care about any sound processing features such as EAX, Dolby Headphone, cmss-3D, etc, then you should consider buying a sound card. If you really want EAX (you play a lot of older games) look at the Titanium HD. If you would just be using the headphone in pure stereo and don't need...- goma14

Headphone Cables & Braiding
I have been searching around the forums for a while, but couldn't find much about this. What cables do people like to use when they are planning on braiding them? I just finished recabling my HFI-780 and found it tedious to remove all of the insulation and shielding from a long mogami...- goma14

DIY Cable Gallery!!
This thread is full of awesome looking cables. :) I'm going to be attempting my first cable pretty soon as well as modding my HFI-780s for dual-entry and removing the diode board. Hopefully, it goes well. This will be my first time soldering.- goma14
