**Hifiman HE-400 Impressions and Discussion Thread**
Holy ****. I just tightened the cable harder than I used to do on the HE-400. Gone is the interference/slopiness/resonance that was heard in the high frequency range. It feels like I just bought an upgrade to my old HE-400's. :D Sublime- Faab

Galaxy S4 and audio crackling issue with UE600
Experienxed the hiss at first as well, with samsung's own music player. The hiss was most apparent whenta song ends/starts. I played around with the settings and found out that turning off the "adapt sound" eliminates it on my UE700- Faab

UE 700 - Comply Foams don't fit?
Quote: Hey Mary, I recently bought the UE700's with the logitech logo on the box and the 'NOT' compatible comply eartips that came with the package. At first I put on the comply eartips on the UE700 and they would simply not 'adhere' to the housing, when I put them in my ears and...- Faab

Buying portable or in-ear headphones? Seeking guidance? DON'T START A NEW THREAD. Ask for advice HERE!
Quote: Yeah the UE900 are too expencive for my intended use. I'm willing to sacrifice some in the audio quality region. The main thing that I'm looking for is good isolation, good comfort for my (right) ear and build quality. The key requirement is that it has to be able to...- Faab

Hi, I'm looking for a new pair of IEM's for around 150 euros ~ 150 dollars (since the price in dollars and price in euro's are usually the same, even though the dollar is worth less) I need help looking for a pair that will fit my ears, since I have a weird right-ear. My right ear has a...- Faab

HD25-1 ll impression....
Not enough bass impact? They've got a lot and plenty with a Fiio E11, bass boost at 2, volume at 2 (slightly less in order to not screw with your hearing). The HD25-II are lacking in 'oomph' without an amp, in my opinion. With my ipod classic, the bass is barely present.- Faab

Help finding headphones.
At which spot in the library do you study? In the crowded area where you're allowed to discuss things, or in the 'silent' rooms where you study in private? If you study a lot in the quiet rooms, or a near quiet place, I suggest you put your criteria more to comfort. I myself...- Faab

Alright, I'll try and do that as soon as I can. The only amp I got though, is the fiio and the highest fidelity sound output I got is the iPod I guess (or my laptop; HP 8570w). I've got an exam this week and I'm moving to a new dorm. Will post back here - Faab

I wonder whether I got a faulty pair or not.. I bought my pair around juli 2012 from head-direct, I've got the Version 2, I guess. I read somewhere that they've got an update d version, am I right? I'm saying this because I think mine isn't performing as it should. I'm using velour...- Faab

Headphone Sightings 2
On campus (technological university), I've ofcourse seen a lot of beats. But what surprises me is the amount of Sennheiser HD25's I see (5 so far), I've got myself a pair aswell so it's easy for me to spot them. I usually see them on the head of fellow students biking to their respective...- Faab

List some headphones upto 500$ which dont require amp
Quoting Jude from his Head-Fi Holiday gift guide: "As far as sub-$500 closed headphones go today, I can't think of another I'd pick over the MDR-1R for long-term sit-down listening sessions, across a wide variance in recording quality, and a wide variety of musical genres."- Faab

Best headphones for a student under 200$
Sony MDR-1R. Really comfortable and sound quality is amazing. I switched due to sibilance reasons of the HD25. I was expecting some loss in sound quality but it's non-existant, an upgrade I suppose.- Faab

How do you guys put the HE400 on your head? I mean, where do you position your ear within the earpad? Do you put your ear-channel in the middle? Or do you put the earpad way to the front, so that the earpads make contact with the back of your ear?- Faab

Sony has new headphones, MDR-1R
Haha I'm noticing that. Though the vocals are better than the HD25 straight out of the box. :) And most importantly, no freaking sibilance. I do dislike the cheap feeling of that shiny plastic. Red ring around the cans look amazing though.- Faab
