AKG Q701 and HRT MusicStreamer II Synergy?
I would appreciate it if any of you who are familiar with these products could comment on their synergy. I own the HRT, and I'm considering purchasing a refurbished Q701 for ~$180. I'll be mostly playing blues, vocal jazz, and some classical. I also saw that the HE-400's are highly regarded, but...- EyeDoc

FIGHT THE BEATS HYPE (Ultrasone HFI-580/HFI 580 appreciation thread)
(Copied from HFI-580 vs XB500 thread) Not to resurrect an old thread, but I just received both of these phones. At least one of the two will be going back so I am currently comparing them to each other and my [relatively bass-anemic but fantastic mids/highs] HD595s. I bought them for...- EyeDoc

++ FULL-SIZE HEADPHONE RECOMMENDATIONS THREAD++ CLOSED: Please post a thread in the Introductions, Help and Advice forum
For a great sounding, comfortable set of over-the-ear phones, I would suggest the Sony MDR-ZX700. If you are a basshead, they won't fit you well. Otherwise, they are great. You can buy the pair I got as a gift here...- EyeDoc

Which one of these two USB DACs?
Just to update, I started noticing distortion on the Turtle Beach so I returned it and got a HRT Music Streamer II. Significantly more expensive but definitely worth it. Night and day difference.- EyeDoc

Impressions/Opinions on HRT Music Streamer II + needed
Got my MSII a few days ago. One of the best investments I have ever made. Dramatically changed my computer's output sound quality. Clarity, details, bass punch, and mids all significantly improved. Plus, I've not had any problems driving my HD595s using just the MSII through a RCA to 3.5mm...- EyeDoc

Impressions/Opinions on HRT Music Streamer II + needed
Well, I sent an email to HRT asking them the same question, and they quickly responded: Quote: So I guess it is more than okay to use the RCA to 3.5mm adapter. Plus, I am already liking this company before I have even received their product. haha- EyeDoc
