Yea, it was definitely the mastering, so much clipping! That and the dark tilt, that tends to render the sound of some bands in a way that I am not used to. I've been listening to extra bright Beyers until now.

Yea, it was the best setup I could afford. I ended up getting everything used for well under $3000. I've heard many good things about the schiit stack. I don't doubt that it will be worth it.
