hd598 is a better choice for you. warmer and bassier than k701 and an amp is not needed, unlike k701.

if you dont see the yellow glue behind the white paper use zoom. click on the picture to enlarge it. that glue is kinda like a small reflex dot so i will remove it. a small channel imbalance is something people dont always notice but i think it has an effect on the overall listening experience...

  do you see this yellow glue on the driver? do you guys have it too? i think it may effect the sound since it blocks parts of the driver-exposed squares. i will try to remove it by first removing the stock white felt, then remove that yellow **** and finally put the stock white felt back on...

there are plastic parts on the bass ports and it's right in front of the back of the driver. do you think it's essential to cover the bass port's plastic parts with acoustic foam? Quote:

yes you're right about the Rega but the Eastern Electric Minimax DAC and Centrance DACmini are 750$. the DACmini is a better deal but it's also less warm than the Minimax. i heard the DacMagic isn't very good compared to newer DACs in it's price range. i don't know about the Plus though.  ...

it's really cheap, only 60$ right? i'll consider it. though i don't believe an amp this tiny can be as good as bigger amps.

i don't like DIY. unless it's super easy to make because i have zero experience. where to order it? how is the o2 compared to matrix m-stage?
