    Sony Ericsson HPM-78 Review

I just bought this headset (Sony Ericsson MW600 Bluetooth Headset) recently, and it works pretty good for what it costs. A bluetooth adapter with OLED display and FM Radio, with included headphones for $50~ it's a pretty good deal. I'm in the process to test these Sony Ericsson HPM-78 headphones...

    LOD vs headphone out

Using a LOD cable + PA2V2, the volume is much louder and clearer, at least on my ears.

Why don't more people use EQ to get the desired sound?

Quote: This. And also because I really prefer listening to music as natural as it can be without any artificial enhancements. And on top of that, EQing is not a good way to test headphone's performance for comparison.

Best headphones on a $100 budget

Save $30 more and get the XB700. They are very good at dubstep and they love being amped as well so you can squeeze more boom.

I demo'ed these in-store and they sound quite good but not spectacular. As masuuuuud said, 3.5 stars is as accurate as it can be described if you add it's high price range in the equation. Truth be told, this is one of the best noise-cancelling headphones, and that's what these are made for.

Review by 'doctorx' on item 'Sony MDR-XB700 50mm XB Diaphragm Driver Extra Bass Headphones'

I bought this headphones to be used at my home desktop setup, and to replace my Bose OE. I researched a lot on these forums and these were one of the best recommendations for the kind of music style I like and the price range.   Comfort. These are surprisingly light-weighted given that they...

Review by 'doctorx' on item 'Electric Avenues PA2V2'

I bought this amp as an attempt to make my Bose OE sound a bit better. It failed to do so... simply because the Bose OE doesn't like any kind of amplification. After reading some forum posts, I decided to buy the Sony MDR-XB700 and they are mind-blowing with this amp, and a lot cheaper than the...

Looking to improve my personal listening equipment. Help needed.

Quote: Well... I'm planning to use those to actually DJ so... bass emphasis is not that needed. For now, the PA2V2 ($60) + Sony MDR-XB700 ($140 inc. tax) are a BIG improvement over the Bose OE ($192 inc. tax). BTW, the Bose OE sounds horrible with the PA2V2 on high volume levels...

I purchased the Sony XB700 and indeed they are better than the Bose OE, for only $129. Next on my list are the Shure 750DJ.

My review is based on SQ, battery life, and value. For me, the combination of the FiiO L3 LOD + FiiO E5 Amp is better than the internal iDevice's amp. For less than $40, you will have an improved SQ, and louder overall volume. This is a win for me.

Review by 'doctorx' on item 'FiiO E5 Headphone Amplifier'

I have had this amp for some time now and it's pretty great for the price I paid for it. Battery is pretty decent. I don't really use the Bass Boost feature much because I feel like it's too much... but it can also be the Bose OE/MIE2i that I have used with it. No real complains other than when...
