I've got the XL pads now -   Good - Comfortable - it's actually around the ear now              - Soundstage is much wider - kicks are right in centre now as opposed to all enveloping.   Bad - Bass is a bit flabbier, less well defined         -  Kicks are much less defined and crisp now...

Oh god, have I missed the XL pads now? I leave this board for 1 month and look what happens!

Does V-Moda have any plans to make a studio backpack?

What's the best way to clean the pads? Any objections to standard anti-bacterial wipes or baby wipes?

  So is there much of a synergy difference between the Fiio E07Ks and the E12s with the M-100s?

definitely looking forward to the XL pads! @Miceblue, I think at those points it's just the sheer number of instruments playing that does that it's very difficult to get dyanamic range. I might try some light bus-level compression just to get some 'pumping'.

Thanks! Yeah I find listening to it on speakers with no bass gives you a good sense of how lively it really is. Which levels do you think I should turn down? Or just in general it's too loud a track? Tizzly is probably right, I fumbled a lot with getting the right amount of presence on the...
