Sony NWZ-ZX1 - 35th Walkman Anniversary model
I tried the above link in my ZX1, it's got no space on the storage, but the page noted that it was Apple Music is also available from the android play store... https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.apple.android.music But I it's not compatible with the version of Android...- Demibeard

Sony's new flagship 2014 - MDR-Z7
They are fantastic with games also, imo. Plugged into the PS4 controller (I know Bluetooth audio and all that) audio just goes to another level. I can hear details completely absent from just using the TV soundbar or my amp. Happier than the proverbial piggy.- Demibeard

Linux Encoder
Another vote for RubyRipper I think I'm using the latest 0.6.2, not the fastest, but then we're after quality. As a side note, I use Kid3 for tagging the said flac files, adding cover art is just too easy.- Demibeard

Sony's new flagship 2014 - MDR-Z7
Quote: Hi Yes, mine are connected to a Little Dot MKIII (Stock) with Yugoslavian 6HM5s (Short Tube) drivers and Electro Harmonix 6H30Pi Gold power tubes, the source is a Sony NWZ-ZX1. The Z7s are on stock cables, although I am thinking of replacing it. Being located in europe and...- Demibeard

Thank you Robert777, I like the look of the silver cable. I see in your avatar, you've bought from Forward Audio Works, did you not consider one of their replacement cables? I'm rather tempted by their Clair Hybrid offer.- Demibeard

Sony MDR-Z7 or Philips X2/27 Fidelio Headphones
Well I'm keeping both, but if I could only have one pair, it would have to be the Z7s, even with the price difference.- Demibeard

Sony MDR-Z7 or Philips X2/27 Fidelio Headphones
Although I only own the X1 and Z7, thus not the updated X2, my 2p would be that they are quite different headphones and both worth having. Please excuse my lack of articulation... The X1(2?) sound stage is magnificent, but then it's an open back headphone, the special thing about the...- Demibeard

Sony's new flagship 2014 - MDR-Z7
I must have been very lucky, I too saw the £339 price, and purchased, there is no visible evidence of them being 'pre-owned' , none of the cable bags were opened, nor the instructions, no fingerprints anywhere. I have no click sound. They look brand new, or did, they've not spent much time...- Demibeard

Sony NWZ-ZX1 - 35th Walkman Anniversary model
I'm on my tablet, so forgive me if the quote comes out wrong. The senseme channels now appear under playlists on the Xperia phones, I can't remember which update it came through in though. That said since I got my f886/zx1, I've stopped using my phone for music.- Demibeard

It does indeed work with flac files, I think it works rather well too.- Demibeard

Fiio E18
Hello kirokko, I use Kubuntu 14.04 LTS, and the Fiio E18 works perfectly well. I've got it set as my prefered output device, that way when it's not connected, it uses a backup device (crappy on board, but that's ok for system sounds) VLC Codec information says it's quite happily...- Demibeard

Little Dot Tube Amps: Vacuum Tube Rolling Guide
This forum has been a such a drain on my wallet , and to think, I only came here to get some settings for my walkman (NWZ-A828). I'm not very eloquent, but when the new tubes arrive, I'll try to compare them as best I can. At least these tubes aren't as expensive as other things.- Demibeard

Little Dot Tube Amps: Vacuum Tube Rolling Guide
Hi, can I be a complete noob? Going on the elation and advice on the forum for these tubes (6HM5 and 6GU7), I've ordered a set for my Little Dot MK III. As I'm currently rolling a pair of 6H30Pi and pair of Mullard M8100, therefore the only thing I need to do to accommodate the new...- Demibeard
