Help me choose a nice headphone? :D

Have a look at the Harmon Kardon CL. They are in the same range as the UE6000 and they tick all your boxes.

Lot of bass without a lot of volume.

Aiaiai TMA 1 have great bass. They were designed as DJ headphones, but because of their great sound grew a bit of a cult following. They have recently released a lower priced version, the TMA1 x

    simple desktop dac/amp setup

Have you looked at the audioengine a2+? this new version has a dac and amp. The sound is great and it is much less clutter.

Thanks for the review. Just trying out a pair of these. First impression are that the low end is very underwhelming. The bass reaches low, but has no PRAT. But I love the way vocals and guitar sound. Will burn them in a bit more and listen again.

    aiaiai capital discussion thread

Really interested in hearing about any sound changes with the hd25 pads. I had them before, loved the sound, but returned them because I found the pressure on the he top part of my ear too much. Was a shame, because they were perfect for London life. Think I might reorder and try this

    Review: Beyerdynamic DX160iE

Yes I did, no luck. The second biggest silicone nearly fit. The biggest didn't fit because they were a different shape to all the others. Shame. Previously I had the B & W C5 and sold them because they were too heavy. Seriously regret it because I loved the sound, and they fit perfectly.

Had these very briefly, so can't comment on the sound. Couldn't get any of the tips to seal, so it was a non starter.

New member intro, with a couple of questions...(of course)

Sounds like it would be app dependant. If you can find an app that will read the music, like a server connecting app, then it would be possible. I don't think you can do it through the native music app though.
