This output transformerless (OTL) headphone amp has amazing synergy with high impedance headphones like Sennheiser or Beyerdyamics. I have just switched to low impedance LCD and though it drives them (even 32ohm will work fine) I find solid state is better with these low impedance headphones...

Looking to get a decent set of wireless buds for travel, with pretty neutral response. Anyone compare these? Anything else in the $150 range I should consider?

My favorite have been Japanese 5963 Toshiba tubes, these are an industrial 12AU7 designed for low noise allocations, but they are pricey to find now.

The Mullard I tried was quite smooth and lush, at least compared to a JAN and RCA tube. I didn't have any JJ tubes, only used those as 12AX7 tubes in a guitar amp, as they have a bit more drive and harmonics.
