Hi-Res 24/94 vs Flac vs CD vs Mp3 files download comparison
You don't have to blame you equipment or your ears. Take a look at the results of my null test in "Why I think HD audio is irrelevant". A quite different thing is detecting differences between lossless and lossy formats. I have a blind test that compares CD to AAC 256, in case you want to test...- cdvsmp3

Music ripped from CD with iTunes vs Music purchased on iTunes (Quality)
There is an interesting thing you could do to compare a song bought from iTunes and the same song ripped and converted to iTunes plus using iTunes application. You'll need an audio editor like Adobe Audition, for example: Load the original (purchased) track and the ripped track. Invert one of... -
Hi-Res 24/94 vs Flac vs CD vs Mp3 files download comparison
Take a look at this experiment I did with an HD track. It certainly is revealing. 1. Pick an HD track that is sampled at, say, 96k/24bit. 2. Convert it to 44.1/16bit PCM (.wav) 3. Upsample the .wav file to the original 96k. 4. Invert one of the waves, say, the converted and upsampled one...- cdvsmp3

I am conducting a survey on the topic of lossy vs lossless files. It may interest you guys. I recommend the last version of my blind test (the shortest and easiest), but there are also previous tests comparing HD vs ACC 256 and CD vs AAC 256. Please have a look and help me in my personal...- cdvsmp3

WAV to MP3
You can download HD tracks in ALAC format (which is Apple Lossless). You may import them to your iTunes library and they will play in your iPod (but I don't think you will any difference at all). No need for any other applications. _____________________ cdvsmp3.wordpress.com- cdvsmp3

WAV to MP3
I am struggling to get the point of HD audio... Take a look at this spectrogram of an HD track I recently bought... (and this is only one of several more I've seen) spectrogram Excuse my ignorance if I am wrong, but doesn't it just look like inaudible high frequency noise, up there, in...- cdvsmp3
