ok guys sounds like we have the output analog path and power caps well in order. my question is this... i want the AD converters to be as sweet as possible for recording. anyone looked at the caps in that chain? i know most of us are using this for playback but any help here is greatly...

i am using this to mix and monitor music so i am looking for caps that will be fairly neutral (as opposed to an audiophile system that is looking to sound sweetened in certain freq ranges). any recommendaitons on caps based on that requirement? thanks

ian did changing the caps make enough difference to make it worth the effort. ( i did notice a difference with the battery power and cat 6 cable). I'd like to get the best sound i can out of this thing. (maybe clock it to an external clock but those are pricey) thanks jason

i have some 6amp dpdt switches but if you think this is too low i wont use them. I am only doing this to get the best possible sound out of my music hall turntable. any particular brand that has good internal contacts good for audio etc...
