DACT vs GOLDPOINT attenuators --->
I want the most neutral sounding, best performing stepped attenuator I can find. I have narrowed it down to either a DACT CT2 or the GoldPoint MINI-V (and perhaps even the nicer TDK's). Any opinions or preferences? Are there any other candidates you feel should be considered...- Bluetick

Do you want the metric system in the USA?
I'd love to see it become standard here in the states but seeing how I already use it for everything, it wouldn't alter my life much.- Bluetick

Beyerdynamic to launch new top headphone at IFA -- called T1
I plopped down the hard earned dough for the T1's today. I have been mostly unhappy with headphones capturing that vocal magic like my Tannoys do. I hope these T1's come close....I'll report back on that once they get here...- Bluetick

Looking for new headphones for friend, HD595, Ultrasone-HFI-780
Well, 595's were my first "real" headphones and I was a different person back then. Back then, I didn't appreciate them- always trying to put my hands over them to make it sound like a closed can- boosting bass. I ditched them for something else. Fast forward about 8 or so years, I now...- Bluetick

USB. How long is too long?
How far can I run a USB cable before it degrades or alters fidelity/data? Context: New set-up. I am dedicating a computer for use as a media server in my basement, yet I want the USB DAC to be located above it on the next floor. Distance is about twenty feet (max). I can fish a long USB...- Bluetick

Radiohead in Rainbows download - how much did you pay?
I guess a more appropriate level of distribution would have been to start with the remix followed by the remaster, then gold, then low-fi digital. I guess some people are only happy if others aren't trying to make money. The music industry is in the business of staying in busines. So what...
