I'm under the impression that the samples fit into the 352/384 signal, so it's not traditional oversampling. I believe Mike mentioned it earlier in the thread.

It doesn't take much a/b'ing between my Yggy and Modi to notice an obvious difference between how the 2 handle reverb present in music. Things like Daft Punk tend to make it more obvious at first listen.

Herbies audio makes some somewhat expensive stuff that works well. Might be a far cheaper diy option out there though.

My Yggy draws around 30 watts. That's like 1 Yggy. ;) Overall not a big deal especially considering what you get in terms of performance.

Just checked optical, which sounds fine. Guess something broke for the usb gen 3? I try messing with some other stuff.   Edit: Restarting my computer did the trick. Guess the gen 3 driver is still a little rough. I'm really happy I won't be crying myself to sleep right now.

Rag + Kef LS50's + HSU VTF-2 MK4, using usb. Also just turned off the sub for a moment thinking it was largely responsible for changes i'm hearing, as i've been adjusting it's levels since introducing the yggy. Nope. The ls50's suddenly hit very hard and sound extraordinary.

It is quite capable of producing what some are calling "sounds and noises". Really quite spectacular, mmmm, yes. Absolutely dapper.  Have been too preoccupied with homework today to run anymore comparisons, but I'm sure dozens of us will post tons of updates over the next few days.
