[REVIEW] Head-Direct RE0 - a new contender for the best IEM

I also get occasional crackling in my RE0s, and I'm starting to wonder if it's the headphones themselves... I have plenty of other higher end headphones that I've used on the same source and equipment, so I'm pretty sure that its not them. Does this mean that theyre damaged, or are they just not...

[REVIEW] Head-Direct RE0 - a new contender for the best IEM

I'm really confused... why do people say these lack bass? Without an amp or burn in, they seem to have just as much bass as my old superfi 5 pros, which were recommended to me years ago because of their bass. I can only imagine what so called "bass heavy" IEMs like the Panasonic sound like...

[REVIEW] Head-Direct RE0 - a new contender for the best IEM

Wow... just got mine today after vacillating for months on how to replace my SF5Ps. I'm pretty floored. Out of the box I think they sound pretty great. I definitely was not expecting this... for some reason I was expecting them to sound cold and bassless... kind of like the ER6i Btw, using UE...

    replacement for SF5P - RE0 or UE700?

I'm assuming most people have never heard the UE700... they don't seem to be very popular on the boards.

    replacement for SF5P - RE0 or UE700?

I read that the re0 gets about 15-20 db of isolation. The sf5p was supposed to get 26, but I don't think I ever came close to that. Had no idea the IE7 was open... that's a shame...

    replacement for SF5P - RE0 or UE700?

Also, I've always been a huge senn fanboy, and I've always been tempted by the IE7, but they're a bit out of my pricerange... love to get my hands on them if I could find them for a lot cheaper.

    replacement for SF5P - RE0 or UE700?

Alright guys, a recap: I broke my UE SF5Ps in December when the cable housing ripped out of the socket and took some wires with it. It was the second time it had happened, although the last time was about 3 years ago. Obviously, they're out of warranty so I've been looking for a replacement. I...

    replacing my super.fi 5 pros

can anyone compare the isolation of the re0s compared with the isolation from the superfi/triplefi body style?

    replacing my super.fi 5 pros

Wow thanks for the tip... I didnt even consider the 700. It looks really nice and very comfortable, but its a bit out of my price range. I think I might just got with the RE0 for the price... no one has said anything bad about them, and they have VERY positive reviews. I am a little concerned...

    replacing my super.fi 5 pros

Thanks for the comparisons. I guess I may just end up experimenting and going with whatever is cheapest. I'm wondering if SQ past a certain point on portables is really that important to me anyways... I only use IEMs if I'm on the go, and I almost never used my SF5Ps at home anyways... much...

    replacing my super.fi 5 pros

read some more reviews... now i'm between the RE0, S4, and the HF5s again. Has anyone compared these to the SF 5 pros before?

    replacing my super.fi 5 pros

It seems like my search has led me to the RE0 and the Fischer Audio Eterna. Two questions... where on earth do you buy Fischers? I can't seem to find them anywhere. Also, the website for the RE0 looks really sketchy... head-direct.com. Is this the right website?
