Nope, this is not what I said. I said my desktop system produces better sound. It doesn't mean I don't like headphones. I like them more than lower quality stereo systems elsewhere.

Frankly I'm still very satisfied with my current desktop system, but I suspect that my 1992 model amp that I purchased back in 1996 can yield to something even better. I think upgrading the amplifier every 25 years or so should improve the sound. That's why I'm on this forum, waiting for Rag 2...

Also, when someone is at home I mostly listen for classical music, because it's usually not using much of low end. So nobody hears me. After your posts I guess Aegir should be much better at classical than Vidar, because its main weakness is not in play here.

Perfect. The lack of bass is actually good thing for me because my wife hears when I listen from another room and asks me to reduce the volume. Extra mids can improve the sound at the max volume that is still not bothering others. Freya S should be a perfect match. But I'm still waiting for Rag...

Do you feel that a single Aegir has insufficient power? I'm looking for a desktop system 2 feet distance from my head. Need best quality at low volume. Ragnarok 2 is another option, but can't find any review yet.
