noguilt: The 790 and 780 is kinda in the same league in terms of sound characteristics. Warm as cdub mentioned is present in both players. What annoyed me about the 790 was the noise cdub mentioned. It sounds like....... you can hear the CD spinning and stuff. Kind of like a hissing...
