Can't help you with free amps, but... If you live near a Radio Shack, you could just buy a TL082 (RS part number 276-1715) for less than two dollars. It has the same pinout as other standard op-amps, like the OPA2132, so it should work in a standard cmoy.

Open up the Windows volume control, open the File menu, click properties, click the "other" button, and press OK. Make sure that the Back Stereo volume slider is unmuted and turned up, and that the other channels are all muted. Pays to check the simple stuff first.
