Hello, I'm looking for D2000 / D50000 stock earpads (they are the same).

I've tried pad rolling the following (top 2 are closest to stock sound, rest in random order):

Geekria D2000 Pad + Dekoni Attenuation Ring
TH610 Stock Pad
TH900 Stock Pad
TH-X00 Stock Pad
Yaxi TH610/TH900 Leather
AHG Perforated Leather
Dekoni Pleather
Dekoni Leather
Dekoni Elite Hybrid
Aliexpress Random D2000 Pad
Aliexpress Random TH900 Pad
Brainwavz Round Leather

I find while they get close but nothing can match stock sound. I'm looking for either in good condition that I can use right away, or ones in bad condition that I'll use for parts for the underside backing since I find Dekoni Attenuation Ring works okay but not perfect yet.

If you have any other suggestion that you tried that worked out well for D2000 (close to stock sound) that I've missed, feel free to let me know too.

Pads that I haven't try:
ZMF Eikon
Vesper Audio (they custom build pads)
Dekoni Elite Hybrid (technically I tried, but I keep hearing good stuff about it I wonder if I should give it a second chance)

Also let me know how much you want them for, thanks!!!

LOL this picture is from 1-2 years ago, now it's even worse.

LOL thanks for the heads up, I'll write off the Dekoni Elite Hybrid then. Saved me some money, thanks!
Tbh the hybrid is the best sounding among the lineup. I found the perf and sheepskin to be the worst. I do think TH610 pads are close enough. There are two fellow HFers selling their D2000 here :) I also wouldn’t bother with ZMF pads I think they change the sound too much.
also this is supposed to be good but I haven’t tried yet

Yeah I have TH610 pad already but I find the're a tiny bit recessed in the treble region compare to stock D2000 pad, which made them just a tiny bit less airy / less sound stage / less layering. But otherwise like you said pretty close.

Otherwise so far I think geekria ear pad + dekoni is also very close like TH610, except it has a bit more treble energy compare to TH610.

Ohhhh I did hear very good thing about the seller wang_yifei, but I've seen some ebay seller uses the same pic but they actually just sell geekria ear pad. Okay I've just sent the seller a message to double check.

And yes I've seen the sellers selling D2000 but I don't really want to bug them with ear pads, I'd imagine they probably have an easier time to bundle the earpad with the headphone.

Heyyy thanks for the suggestion!!!

Hmmmm I think from my experience pad rolling I realize thickness makes a huge difference, and in this case thinner works better for D2000. So I suspect this might be a bit too thick.....?

Also I tend to have better luck with pleather rather than leather for some odd reason, kind of hate how picky D2000 is with pads. :frowning2:

Thanks again for the suggestion though!!!

I haven’t tried, but maybe you could send the stock pads to Vesper and ask them to coat it with pleather surface?

Hmmmm I've shoot them a message before trying to see if they can replicate D2000 stock pads, they said they're not able to do it exact since they only deal with leather and memory foam. To my understanding stock pads uses pleather and open cell foam (much softer and compress more). And I also asked about the plastic backing and they didn't comment on that so I'll assume it's a no.

Though I could still ask them to make it in leather and memory foam but exact same measurements otherwise, but I wonder how close that would be. Based from the chart ZMF provided for their headphone, it seems like pad material changes sound a lot too.

Though I have TH900 ordered so I could just wait for that, but I still would like to have my D2000 fixed since it's my first good headphone and also my all time favourite headphone lol.

That’s a shame. Yeah I believe both the inner and outer materials of the pads change a lot. Personally I would literally just buy D2/5000 with pads in good condition, keep the pads and sell the headphone on lol. But that’s just me :p
