Wonderful like-new L700. One of my favorite headphones. Comes extremely close to the performance level of 009 and 009S, but with a large portion of the classic Lambda charm intact! These are much easier to drive than Omega-series Stax (007, 009, X9000), and are the the best choice with folks who don't own exotic mega-buck 3rd party amplifiers. That said, if you DO own one of those amps, these L700 also scale extremely well - they're really something else to experience on a BHSE or T2!

I also owned the Mk 2 and didn't find a meaningful sonic difference there. These Mk 1 give you all the great sound, but with a plastic headband yoke instead of the Mk 2's metal. It's almost a crime they go for this low of a price. Stunning sound!
