Up for sale is my beloved ALO Audio Continental Dual Mono transportable balanced DAC/amp. I am its second owner; I purchased it about 2.5 years ago. I'm looking to upgrade, but make no mistake, this is a fantastic hybrid tube/solid state DAC/amp. These types of hybrid configurations are still pretty unusual, and this unit still sounds great in 2021. It has a couple of very small scratches that may not have shown up in my pictures, so this is being rated a very conservative "good" instead of "excellent." With the exception of moving residences, this unit has remained desk-bound its entire time under my care, although since it does have a battery, it's more than suitable for transportable use too.

Comes with everything pictured, but no original packaging. The copious extras include: international adapters for the power brick, an ALO Audio 2.5mm TRRS balanced interconnect (if you have a source with balanced line out, you can use that DAC instead of the included one if it outputs via 2.5mm), a carrying case, an ALO Audio mini USB cable with an Audioquest mini-to-micro USB adapter, and a spare pair of totally unused Sonotone 5719 tubes pre-installed onto their PCB boards. Yes, you can tube roll! The Sonotones are widely considered to be one of the best for the Continental Dual Mono. More extension at either end, better soundstage, and the fact that they're single triode means they run cooler and add a couple of extra hours to the battery life vs. the stock tubes. I already have a pair installed in the CDM that I put in when I purchased it. I'd estimate they have at least 2500 hours of life left in them if we're going by a 5000 hour lifespan.
