Kevin Gilmore Grounded Grid built by Soren Brix (reputable builder.) Essentially a KGSSHV Carbon with an EL34 output stage instead of transistors. This amp runs at 20ma, like the Carbon whereas the BHSE runs at 15ma. So it's like the Carbon but able to roll tubes to change the sound. Currently has a quad of Electroharmonix 6CA7 fat bottles installed, these will come with the amp.

The amp has an upgraded Goldpoint 24 point stepped attenuator.

Very good condition overall, a couple scratches on the top plate near the front, and some marks by the screws on the top plate which can be seen in the 3rd photo. The Matte finish is a bit of a dusty fingerprint magnet, so other things seen in the photos are simply from that, vs being scratches etc..

Asking price is $3675USD firm. Price is firm due to me being in Canada and shipping (big and heavy), PP currency exchange, and PP fee (4%) included into the price. Will ship throughout Canada and USA at my asking price.

Is this kind of like a cross between the Blue Hawaii and the KGSSHV Carbon? Do you know ow its sound compares to the other Blue Hawaii or the KGSSHV?
Thats a pretty good description.

I haven't heard a straight KGSSHV, only the KGSSHV Carbon and Mjolnir Carbon CC. I did own the HeadAmp BHSE. Sonically I preferred the Grounded Grid, it also has more current available. However, the BHSE has timeless and awesome aesthetics. Both are great amps, in my opinion.

Compared to the KGSSHV Carbon, the Grounded Grid has slightly more body to the sound, though I think that may depend on the tubes you are running. Overall slightly less sharp treble, with very similar amounts of drive and power to it.

I noticed that we are in the same city and your comments make me want to sell an organ if I can't try it! Best of luck in the sale, there's gonna be a very happy head-fi'er when all is said and done.
