For sale is a complete custom made chassis set for the Kevin Gilmore designed DIY T2. The chassis significantly simplifies the building process for the DIY T2. I have organized a number of chassis group buys over the past decade, and this was the last one. Other than the roughly 20 chassis sets that Kevin had made in around 2011, every other DIY T2 chassis set that looks like the photos below were organized by me and custom built in Canada. Nothing is "off-the-shelf" and I had a custom die made to make the heatsinks (the die itself cost several thousand dollars). I am selling what remains and will likely not be going through the process of making more in the future.


The price ($1,650 USD) represents my cost and includes only the chassis set (two-box build) and L-brackets for mounting the transistor. I can include a boardset for an additional $275 USD. If transistors and/or sockets are needed, I can assist with that as well - all parts are available and if you don't want to pay big bucks for some of the old stuff, there are modern equivalents now.

There have also been some updates to the chassis over the years. The faceplates have a better finish with right and left beveled sides and the backplates are shorter so they do not block the heatsink fins for a more sleek look. Most recently, I had some newer custom faceplates made that are machined out of a solid block of aluminum and have a significantly better polish on them, are MUCH thicker, and have inset bolts sockets and volume. If you want the newer faceplates, they add $200 to the cost of the chassis (pics are at the very end).
