This was part of the batch that helped with the sticking issues.
As with any newer revision CRBN, the stator can still be stuck, but it is easy to get unstuck and doesn't occur very often.

I pretty much had to try to get it to "fart" or stick.

Can you tell me more about the "sticking issues"? Would like to know before I make an offer. Thanks!

This is a product offering issue, as opposed to a "this unit" issue.
Technically speaking, when compared to earlier revisions, this unit sticks and "farts" less.

It's an issue with the design of an electrostatic diaphragm + stators assembly.
Sometimes, if pressure is built in a certain way (i.e., you're wearing the headphones and stick your hand against the outside of the cup) it will make either a buzz sound, or get stuck until you create pressure to release it.
Some people can also get it to release by grounding the pins.

FYI, this DOES NOT damage the driver. It's just the nature of this design, along with many others.
For example, I have a few earlier STAX, including a 007mk1, that do the same thing. Actually, worse than the CRBN.

To aid with the sale, I will say any CRBN after March of 2022 typically has been fixed. I concur with everything the seller stated. For this price, this is a steal. I own the CRBN and its my favorite E-stat. No, I am not getting a kickback, haha. This is crazy price for these.

I will second the opinion that these are fantastic. I had a first batch pair that did stick fairly often. Very annoying. The were replaced under warranty and the new pair has never stuck yet. Going on a year with no issues. Great price too.

Ah, sorry for not being more specific. Very aware of the Stax "fart" and other e-stat related stator fun. What I didn't know was the history for the CRBN specifically; sounds like the later 2022 units have some mitigations in place to lesson this behavior. PM sent.

I really do like the CRBN.
I'm semi-considering withdrawing my listing, but for me, there are a couple of options out there that do similar things, but in a better way, for my ears.
That being said, both options I am thinking of are priced a great deal higher, even on the used market.
