More of an interest check at this stage but lets see how it goes :)

I am considering selling in order to purchase something else that is more desk-friendly.

This is pretty much end of the line equipment and near anything I replace it with would still be a sad loss for me as its so good.

Purchased brand new in April 2023 from Magma, cost me upwards of 8.5K (GBP) so this is a a chunk off retail for as-new and of course no six-week plus wait.

Condition is as new, comes with all accessories (not that they come with a lot!) and original boxes.

What? It is impossible to part with such an audio system voluntarily. Buddy, if you're being taken hostage, just wink at us.

In all honesty my aim is to keep this, the problem I have is the office I have is quite small and so placement is an issue for me, but its not insurmountable.

Funnily enough my main choice for a replacement should that happen would be the Violectric DHA V590 which you own, feel free to DM me your thoughts about performance of the V590 :)

Holo Stack, in my understanding, is the best sound for a reasonable price.
Vio 590, when used as an amplifier, is quite good. He might even be on par with Bliss. But Vio's DAC is not that good. This will be a big step back from Holo May.
I sometimes switch from the May to the Vio's internal DAC, but only for a short time and only to realize once again that the money spent on the May was well spent.

p.s.
If I were faced with the need to choose a compact setup comparable in sound level to Holo Stack, I would look at the T+A HA 200 + T+A Solitaire P.

I have exactly the same setup and been down the same road re desktop stuff, including Chord Dave and Mscaler. Think you might regret selling your Holo Audio gear.
