I'm selling a pair of Sennheiser 660S2. They're in mint condition. Since I got them, I have used them about three times, and under three hours overall. While they are a very neat pair of headphones, with or without EQ, I have to come to the realization that headphones aren't for me. I prefer IEMs, and I want to use the money to start building out a hifi system.

Condition:

Needless to say these are pretty much new. The pads didn't even have enough time to change shape. I have handled them so little that you'll be receiving what will feel like a fresh, out of the factory pair.

Short review:

I have owned or tried for periods of time the HD600, 6XX, 660S. These are close in sound with a distinctly warmer touch. Everything sounds more full-bodied, and for once in the series, there's definitely something happening in the bass region. It's clean, reaches far enough to satisfy my own (dire) need for proper bass, and can be boosted even further with a touch of EQ without ruining the entire FR.

On top of that, I have to say that these sound way more dynamic than every other pair from the series that I've tried.

Out of all the headphones I have owned, these also very clearly 'scale with gear'. I always had my doubt with these kind of statements, but after rotating between my computer 3.5mm out, my E1DA 9038S, and a beautiful tube amp I borrowed from a friend, I can truthfully attest of the insane amount of difference it makes.

Plug that baby into anything analytical, and the 'warmness' that many reviewers were on the fence about is still there, but with a beautiful added sparkle on top and details galore.

Asking price:

As I really need to get rid of this puppy to... well, buy other toys, I'm lowering the price for a third-time, and I think this'll be quite the offer.
