I listed these a few weeks ago then quickly took them down because I was initially disappointed with my new Susvara. Well, break-in is a real thing and the Susvara has really come into it's own and I now feel like I'm comfortable letting these go. Crinacle ranks them third all-time, just after Susvara, and I'd second that ranking. I've had (from Focal) Elear, Clear, Clear Mg, (from Audeze) LCD-2, LCD-X, (from Denon) 9200. I've also auditioned Sennheiser HD800 in my system. These are easily the best of the bunch. They're honestly good at everything, but the bass is an absolute stand out feature. It's simply on another level from any of the other headphones listed. It's not just abundant, it's precise and natural sounding. I paid $2K for these in Dec of '22. They have been very well taken care of and always kept under a dust cover when not in use. They're in as-new condition. Will ship in the original box and original outer shipping box. Includes both balanced and single-ended cables, neither of which has ever been used. Free shipping in CONUS.

How would you compare the HEKv2 to the Susvara?

Initially I was pretty disappointed with the Susvara. Bass especially was lacking. They didn't respond well to Eq, either. That's why I closed this listing pretty quickly, I couldn't see the Susvara ever competing with the HE1K's on anything with prodigious bass. Refinement, however, was never lacking. Book that came with them says 150 hrs of break-in time so I was certainly going to give them at least that much of a chance. After 25 hrs they seemed to blossom. Bass improved dramatically. At first I thought it was because of a new convolution filter I was using, but then I switched to a previously used peq (that I reduced down to only 2 bands) and I didn't seem to lose anything. The appeal of the Susvara was finally evident and obvious. Bass is still not quite as plentiful as the HE1K's, but it's much closer and I no longer consider it to be an issue. And the quality of the bass is the best I've ever heard. All other frequencies are also sublime. They are definitely end-game for me. I'm driving them with a McIntosh MHA200 tube amp and the combo is just plain addictive. At this point I'm leaning toward re-listing the HE1K's but I'm not certain yet. Gonna run a few tests this weekend.
