This amplifier and DAC are specifically designed for use with the hd800/S, hd820, and hd6xx headphones to bring out the best possible performance, delivering an unparalleled and authentic musical experience. The HDV820 amplifier has proven to be undoubtedly better with my Sennheiser headphones (HD800, HD650, etc.) than even the considerably more expensive amplifier-DAC combinations I have tried over the years.
In addition, the amplifier-DAC combo also serves as an excellent preamplifier, making it an integral part of the entire music system.
