Good point. It might matter if he were manipulating sales figures for tax reasons but since Paypal keeps record then I suppose the IRS can cross reference. IRS usually only audits the most egregious tax evaders since IRS manpower is only capable of auditing like 1% of potential crimes if that.

Apparently on income tax hobby losses can be itemized and deducted from hobby profits. Or peterq has a business and is being sly. Or who knows why he would hide transaction amount.
