You will not hear anything like this, especially if you have hard to drive headphones.

I am getting out of hobby or drastically cutting back. This will drive everything and is better than a Jotunheim, 789 and A30 pro etc. especially for high impedance power (300/600ohm) and Class-A sound. Unique opportunity to acquire a rare unicorn.

Includes original op amps

SPECS: MATRIX M-STAGE HPA-3B

What are the differences between this one and the one sold on Drop?

Mine has a larger volume knob, 2 burson classic v6's op-amps and 2 sparkos voltage regulators which is supposed to help with thd.
It measures very well in stock form and did good on ASR. They don't make them anymore, and pretty rare in comparison to other popular amps.

It's one ace is the power at high impedance, it's comparable to an emotiva basx if I remember right. The other is it has a more natural sound than say a 789 and has better note weight or full-bodied sound, but cleaner than say a Jotunheim.

I am cutting back, and it's overkill, also using IEM's more and making do with a zen dac or something like that to get me by.

If you had hard to drive cans this is a beast.

This is amp only with 2x sparkos voltage regulators and 2 v6 classic opamps. I am only using IEMs now and it's overkill.

It actually works well with most IEM's in low gain.

I think I am nuts for selling it, but I have cut back to a few IEM's and a smaller amp/dac and it's complete overkill.

I have owned Jot, 789, 788 dac to name a few in that price range and it's a nicer amp. Its specialty is 300/600 ohm power, it's about double that of a 789. It also sounds very organic, full low end whilst remaining detailed.
