I just tried them for a few weeks and I prefer the ELROGS. Pristine. Less than 50-100 hour of use. Brand new. Handled with white gloves. Utmost care.

Sent in the extended warranty card. Will help any heafiers redeem warranty if needed.

Received package, 11/14/22. Decided to go with MOs instead.

I'm at 270 hours on mine, mostly idle, and they still seem a little different each session, not always for the better, although the general trend is improvement. That's what burn in is like.

What changes have you heard? Thanks

The pitch straightened out after the first 50 hours or so. Otherwise, a bit muddy at times, then not, and others I don't recall, except the other night at about 230 hours it was shouty. There was still a little of that left last night. Probably the process is a bit different with each system, depending on synergies. In any case, don't expect a linear process of improvement. Burn in doesn't work that way. For a sense of what the burnin process can be like and why patience is required, take a look at Morrow Audio's Cable Owners Manual, Cable Break-in starting at the bottom of page 2: https://www.morrowaudio.com/pages/cable-owners-manual

Thanks I appreciate it. I found them shouty our of the box. A little bright as well. I am starting to log in some more hours over the last few days. 8 hours at a time and its shoutyness is starting to tame down. Very nice. Like them. :)

Speaking generally, edginess, steel like, is another common phase that comes and goes in most burn ins, and is often one of the last to go. And of course, the sound of different recordings will vary depending on the tube, where it is in the process and the type of music and quality of the recording itself. So expect some to sound like crap at times and maybe a revelation at others, and more of the latter with the process.

Thought you'd want to know that I found the tubes blossomed tonight, my session starting at 298 hours. I could really hear it in the upper end, and over the course of the evening the lower end came around a lot too. I do think this is the start of the final stage of burn in, although I wouldn't be surprised if it take up to another 100 hours to truly stabilize.

Congrats. So tell me about what you’ve liked and not about the Elrog MO?
Hhhhm. So Elrog MO is unlike the traditional 300B sound. Less energy in mid bass/midrange. Just a lot more linear. Extremely extended on both ends. People say the most SS sounding tube but with tube magic. Takes some time to burn in. At first it can sound a bit bright, harsh. After 100 hours its smoother but still hyper detailed. It pairs well with neutral/warm driver tubes in my chain.

Elrog ER sounds similar to other 300Bs but more extended on the sub bass than the WE300B. It has a little mid bass bloat but pairs exceptionally well with neutral very detailed driver tubes.

I am currently loving the Elrog ER + Brimar 6J5G combo.

I am on the waiting list for the TM300B. Would love to own the trinity. haha
